BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — If you are looking for an outdoor, festive event for Christmas Eve, look no further than Mizner Park. The Amphitheater will play host to an event that brought out huge crowds last year.

Over 1,000+ candles will be lit at Mizner Park Amphitheater as The Journey Church of Boca Raton holds its annual Candlelight Christmas Eve Services. After a tremendous response in 2012, this event will again offer the community a fun and meaningful way to celebrate Christmas.

The Journey’s Candlelight Christmas Eve Services will take place on Tuesday, December 24 at 3:00pm, 4:30pm and 6:00pm, at Mizner Park Amphitheater located at 590 Plaza Real in Boca Raton (just off of Federal Highway between Glades Road and Palmetto Park Road). Admission is free and no ticket is necessary.

The Journey is a new church in Boca Raton, featuring services each Sunday with casual dress, rockin’ music and practical teaching.

After record attendance in 2012, this year the church will offer three identical 59-minute services complete with live music, Christmas Carols, casual dress, and an inspiring Christmas message, all in a family-friendly setting.

The Journey is also partnering with Boca Helping Hands, a local community-based organization that provides food and emergency assistance to those in need, to hold a Canned Soup Drive at all three services. Admission to the service is free, but all who attend are encouraged to bring cans of soup to benefit those in need this Christmas season.

“Upon seeing the need first-hand, we wanted to not only provide a meaningful outdoor Christmas Eve service to the community, but to take this opportunity to meet the needs of individuals and families in Boca Raton who otherwise will go hungry this Christmas,” said Nelson Searcy, Lead Pastor of The Journey Church.

Those in attendance on Christmas Eve can expect to hear modern versions of their favorite Christmas carols featuring The Journey’s top-notch band of musicians. And adults and children alike will enjoy a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight singing of “Silent Night”.

The event is free and no ticket is required. Parking is available on the street and in the garages at Mizner Park.
