BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Source: Boca Raton PD) — The Boca Raton Police are investigating two robberies, one occurred on Monday, June 20th and the second occurred on Tuesday, June 21st. Detectives believe the suspect met these victims on-line.

The first victim told detectives she met the suspect through an on-line dating service. When he went to her home, he pointed a gun at her and demanded money. When she said she didn’t have any, they drove to a nearby bank, where he forced her to withdraw several hundred dollars from the ATM. When they returned to her home, the suspect left is a silver VW Beetle.

The second crime happened at the Boca Inn, where the two victims arranged to meet the suspect through backpage.com. The suspect arrived and once inside the victim’s room, pointed a gun and demanded money. The victims did not have any money and the suspect eventually left in a silver VW Beetle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 18 to 26 years old with black curly hair, medium color skin and was described as having a thick build. He was last seen wearing a navy blue or black t-shirt with jeans.

The suspect was driving a newer model, silver Volkswagen Beetle with a possible black convertible top. If anyone has information about either of these crimes or similar crimes, please call Detective Timothy Kurdys at (561) 338-1377 or Palm Beach County Crime Stopper (800) 458-TIPS.
