UPDATE: Boca Falls Burglary Details

News

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — PBSO continues to investigate yesterday’s burglary in Boca Falls that led to an “alert” and partial lockdown at nearby Waters Edge Elementary School. The burglary is the latest crime in the normally crime-free section of West Boca Raton that includes Mission Bay, Boca Falls and Boca Winds.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a homeowner witnessed two black men exiting her residence in the 12200 block of Rockledge Lane in Boca Falls sometime between 11:20 and 11:30 am. The men allegedly stole an iPhone and jewlery. It is unclear — at this point — if forensic evidence was left behind. The discovery led to a significant response by the sheriff’s office, including a police helicopter hovering over the community for quite some time following the burglary discovery.
Area homeowner associations have been on somewhat of an alert status following a series of benign — but completely atypical — car burglaries and minor vandalism in the are over the past several months.
Boca Falls is a gated community. Police and highly regarded G4S security are reviewing surviellance tapes as the investigation continues.
