Drug Deal Leads To Shooting In Boynton

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Media Advisory) — Boynton Beach Police are investigating the robbery and shooting of a man as he attempted to buy drugs early this morning in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Matthew Cohen, 25, of Boynton Beach was inside his car at Z Food and Meat, 1005 N. Seacrest Blvd., around 1 a.m., when he was approached by three men. One of the men produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect shot Cohen and then all 3 suspects fled on foot. Cohen was taken to Delray Medical Center. His injuries were not life threatening.

The investigation is ongoing as police continue their search for the suspects.
