Man Rescued From Intense Apartment Fire

BOCA RATON, FL ( (Media Advisory From Boca Raton Fire Rescue) — At 6:31pm today, October 18, 2104, Boca Raton Firefighters responded to an apartment fire located at 601 SW 2nd Avenue, Boca Raton. Boca Raton Police officers arrived first and found an apartment with smoke coming out of the windows. They made entry to the apartment but were forced back by the smoke and heat.

Boca Raton Firefighters arrived, and with an excellent report from the officers, were able to make entry and remove a 26 year old
semi-conscious male. The man was treated on scene by paramedics and quickly transported to Boca Raton Regional Hospital in serious condition.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent further fire extension. The fire is still under investigation.
