BOCA RATON, FL ( — The wild weather that swamped Boca Raton early this afternoon deluged the parking lot at Town Center mall, leaving water as high as the bumpers of some cars.

The storm, which resulted in flickering lights throughout the mall, created such a mess that shoppers were stuck inside as the parking lot was virtually impassable.

Things were slowly returning to normal within an hour.
