Boca Bubbie Sees Her Shadow, Calls For More Winter

BOCA RATON, FL ( — Boca Bubbie emerged from the front doors of Nieman Marcus this morning to see her shadow, and promptly called for six more weeks of winter.

Arriving in her gold Lexus ES350, the 82-year-old Bubbie donned a yellow, red, purple and pink Mumu. She first returned three purchases that she made in February of 2012 which needed a manager's approval because she forgot her receipt, tried on two pairs of shoes, and then emerged from a side door with her home healthcare aide wearing white.

Bubbie's exact words: “Where are my sunglasses? It's too bright outside. I should have never gone out today. My ankles are swelling.”

Bubbie observers say that unquestionably means Bubbie saw her shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter which, in Boca, means two more days of temperatures in the 50s at some point between now and April.
